There are still no new traces of missing Tove in Vetlanda.

Missing People is now pausing its search effort pending more information.

– As it is now, we have nothing to go by, says Tessan Jigfjord at Missing People.

Three days have passed since the police ended the search for missing Tove, 21, in Vetlanda.

The reason was that the areas considered relevant were searched.

– We have searched certain sections several times. We simply cannot continue the search, says Angelica Israelsson Silver, spokesperson for police region East.

Now the police mainly work to support the preliminary investigation in other ways.

– We work by calling for tips and analyzing the tips that come in. If the prosecutor wants help with certain types of investigative measures, such as house searches, we help with that too, continues Angelica Israelsson Silver.

Missing people pause search effort

Since Tove was reported missing on October 16, Missing People has organized several large search efforts in Vetlanda.

But even Missing People has paused the search effort this week.

– We are not stopping, but we are redirecting ourselves a bit. Now we focus on applying on Saturday again. Then we might have a clearer area to search in, or at least a stretch of weather. As it is now, we have nothing to go by, says Tessan Jigfjord at Missing People.

She also says that they are prepared to move in if they receive new information from the police this week.

– It is difficult to search late in the afternoon when it starts to get dark, but if something were to happen, we have to go out with flashlights, continues Tessan Jigfjord.

Two women still in custody

The police early suspected that Tove might have been the victim of a crime when she did not come home after a night out on October 15.

The suspicions were directed at two women in their 20s who spent time with Tove on Saturday evening. They are – despite their denial – still in custody on probable grounds suspected of kidnapping.

But what happened during the evening – and what happened to Tove – is still unclear.

According to information to Aftonbladet and several other media, Tove then went home to one of the suspected women’s residence after she had been to the Nöjet restaurant in central Vetlanda.

According to information, Tove should have argued – and gotten back together – with one of the suspected women, during the evening of the disappearance.

Neighbors in the house have also reacted to strange noises from the apartment during the night, according to several of Aftonbladet’s informants.

Will investigate mental status

One of the two women must undergo a personal investigation, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

It is done to assess what type of penalty is appropriate if the person were to be convicted of a crime.

The two women must also undergo a so-called section 7 investigation to investigate the women’s mental status.

Prosecutor Adam Rullman, who leads the investigation, does not want to comment on Monday if anything new has happened in the investigation in the past 24 hours.

– I have nothing new to communicate at the moment, he says.
