A police search for 37-year-old Gary Brittain ended after the man’s body was found Friday near Railway Street East in the Princeton area.

Brittain was reported missing on the evening of June 8 and the community turned out to assist with a large scale search for him over the last week.
Oxford OPP said while they are continuing to investigate Brittain’s death, it is not being treated as suspicious.
At one point, OPP Sgt. Ed Sanchuk said about 200 volunteers were involved in the search for the man. Police asked people to search their backyards, outbuildings and surrounding properties.
Sanchuk said London Search and Rescue, aviation services, canine services, the major crime unit, an emergency response team and a drone operator had also joined in the search.
The OPP thanked the community, media and those who provided assistance as they searched for Brittain.
