– We have found a person in the water in Helgasjön and the person has been immediately transported to hospital by ambulance, says Börje Andersson, commanding officer of the Småland-Blekinge Rescue Service Cooperation RSB.
The alarm about drowning came just before 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
– A relative of the person alerted the emergency services. She had been out fishing but had not returned in time and that is when we were contacted, says Börje Andersson.
The extent of the damage is currently unclear.
