ALING SAUCE. A young man has been requested to be detained – on probable grounds suspected of the murder of missing Henrik, 15. At the same time, the search operation continues in Alingsås.

– We will do our utmost until we find Henrik, says August Brandt, police spokesperson.

At the same time, the closures around the Säveån have been significantly increased.

At 12 o’clock on Sunday, the police announced via their website that one of the people who was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Henrik is now requested to be detained on probable cause on suspicion of murder. It is about a young man.

The detention hearing will be held after lunch on Sunday. Until it is finished, the police are keeping secret about the details of the criminal investigation.

– I will not comment on anything about the preliminary investigation at all, says August Brandt, the police’s press spokesperson on site.

No-fly zone over blockades

Shortly before the information about the arrest request regarding murder, a gathered media gathering met Brandt next to the cordoned off search area along Säveån.

The police on site are currently clear that they only want to comment on questions regarding the search effort. Whether any finds had been made during the night or the morning could not be said.

– We continue with unchanged strength to search for Henrik, says August Brandt.

Brandt could not answer whether the police are currently closer to finding Henrik than they were yesterday.

– What I can say is that we continue with unchanged strength and that our ultimate priority is to find Henrik.

The Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority has, on behalf of the police, issued a flight ban for drones over police roadblocks. At the moment, the search effort is ongoing in the same areas as before. Parts of a property have been cordoned off. Around Säveån, the cordons have been extended and the police are now also using a boat in the search.

– We have drones and helicopters that we can use. The reason why we have had a flight ban issued is partly for safety reasons, and partly because we want to be able to work undisturbed, says August Brandt.

Henrik’s relatives have been informed that the classification has been changed from kidnapping to murder.
