Milo was out for a walk with the sitter in Austerlitz on Wednesday and ran off with some other dogs after “seeing or smelling something.” The other dogs came back, but Milo kept running. He did not respond to the call to come back. Since then, two large search teams have been searching with sniffer dogs, thermal cameras and wildlife cameras. Family and friends are also searching and distributing flyers every day. “There are ninety to a hundred people in the WhatsApp search groups,” says Visser. “It is heartwarming to see how many people sympathize and join in the search.”
