Two boys disappeared from an HVB home and one of them was found murdered in Nynäshamn.
Now the other boy, 14-year-old Layth, has been identified as the person found dead in Upplands-Bro.
The criminal suspicions surrounding the double murder are linked to the notorious “Kurdish fox”, according to information from TV4 Nyheterna.
The body was found on Friday last week by members of the public who were out walking in an open air area in Upplands-Bro, northwest of Stockholm.
On Thursday, the prosecutor announced that the identification is complete and that the dead person is Layth, 14. Relatives have been notified.
Layth disappeared between July 24 and 25, at the same time as another 14-year-old boy. Both were placed in HVB homes in Nyköping.
Late in the evening on July 31, the police were alerted to a forest lot in Nynäshamn municipality. Passers-by had found the body of the first 14-year-old.
According to TV4 News, the teenager was stabbed and had signs of abuse on his body. The prosecutor does not want to comment on the information in detail, but stated that the boy was subjected to “severe violence”.
Even in the case of Layth, according to information to TV4 Nyheternas, there are strong suspicions of crime. The body is also believed to have been tried to be hidden.
“Links to the Kurdish Fox”
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the police are investigating the connection between the events and the criminal network Foxtrot and its leader Rawa Majid, 37, who is also known as the “Kurdish Fox”.
– There are clear indications that the crimes can be linked to the “Kurdish fox” and people acting on his behalf, says an informant.
On August 11, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on probable cause on suspicion of aiding and abetting kidnapping in Layth. Today, at the remand hearing, the classification was changed to aiding and abetting murder.
– Circumstances have emerged in the case that mean that the suspicion is now aiding and abetting murder. I cannot go into what the circumstances are, says senior prosecutor Hanna Cardell, who leads the preliminary investigation.
No one has yet been arrested for the murder of the 14-year-old in Nynäshamn.
