It is the first time that a Dane has been crowned the winner of the competition. The competition has been organized a total of 73 times.
Miss Nigeria took second place in the competition Chidimma Adeshina and third Miss Mexico María Fernanda Beltrán.
Finland Matilda Wirtavuori advanced to the swimsuit round and thus placed in the top 30. A total of 125 countries participated in the competition.
