According to Jessica W Sandberg, a man who was not part of Ms. Snusk’s team suddenly sat next to her at the artist presentation at Friday’s generep. When she later returned to the lodges, the team learned that the man allegedly sexually assaulted her.
“We were, as you can understand, extremely upset. SVT immediately took this very seriously,” writes Sandberg, who first commented on the incident in the express, in an SMS to SVT Nyheter.
According to Melodifestivalen’s project manager, Anders Wistbacka, the man had accreditation to be there with another contribution, but he would not have been in the green room.
Had to leave the arena
Anders Wistbacka writes to SVT Nyheter that what happened is unacceptable and that they take the whole thing very seriously.
“But there was no lack of security as the person had the correct accreditation to be there. This was a shortcoming in the editorial work that we have corrected,” he writes.
He further writes that the security personnel acted as soon as they found out what had happened and the person was allowed to leave the arena.
Neither Jessica W Sandberg nor Anders Wistbacka want to comment on whether the incident will be reported to the police.
