Miss Alsace 2022 Camille Sedira the candidate who advocates naturalness

MISS ALSACE. Sacred Miss Alsace, Camille Sedira will represent her region during the Miss France 2023 election. Get to know this candidate better.

[Mis à jour le 12 décembre 2022 à 14h03] L’Alsace has chosen its representative for the Miss France 2023 election. It is Camille Sedira, a 21-year-old Bischoffsheimoise. The candidate put on the Miss Alsace scarf on September 10 at the Parc-Expo in Colmar. She thus succeeds Cécile Wolfrom, who finished second runner-up last year, and will represent her region on a national scale during the beauty contest which will take place on December 17 in Châteauroux and will be broadcast live on TF1.

Wanting to discover a new universe, in particular that of the Misses, Camille Sedira registered on a whim for the Miss France 2023 contest. It is not surprising that this business school student affirms that her motto is “who don’t try nothing has nothing”. The Alsatian takes this adventure as a new challenge, the opportunity to learn more about herself and to practice expressing herself while highlighting her naturalness and simplicity. “Even if I am Miss Alsace, I remain first of all Camille”, she declares in front of the cameras of Stras-TV.

Although she ticks all the physical criteria of the competition selection, Camille Sedira is convinced that there are other ways to express her beauty. With France 3, the young woman affirms that “the idea that a Miss only represents beauty is over”. Indeed, the Miss, who does not use filters on her photos and whose favorite virtue is naturalness, is convinced that it is also possible to express her beauty through words, by committing to causes or by being spontaneous and benevolent. See you on December 17 to find out if Camille Sedira’s spontaneity and naturalness will allow her to be elected Miss France.

Miss Alsace is a beauty contest which elects a representative each year for the Miss France election. Several young women come forward in the hope of becoming the ambassador of Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin. Since the creation of its committee, Alsace has won Miss France six times, becoming the fourth region to have won the competition the most times. The region’s success began in 1940 with the election of Josephine Ladwig. Then, Suzanne Angly was crowned Miss France 1969, then Suzanne Iskandar in 1985, Nathalie Marquay in 1987 and again Laetitia Bléger in 2004. The last Miss Alsace to have won the national election is Delphine Wespiser in 2012.

The list of the last Miss Alsace

  • Cecile Wolfrom: In 2021, aged 23, Cécile Wolfrom is elected Miss Alsace. She is from Strasbourg where she studied pharmacy, wishing to join a business school in parallel in order to obtain a double degree. The young woman was elected Miss Alsace in Sélestat, October 10, 2021. Cécile Wolfrom was elected second runner-up to Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022.
  • Aurelie Roux : 24 years old, she was born in Mulhouse but currently lives with her parents in Spechbach-le-Bas. Like other candidates for the beauty contest, she was no longer a student: she indeed obtained a chemistry license in Strasbourg and has already been working for four years in Colmar, in a laboratory where she studies food supplements. During the Miss France 2021 election, she came in fourth place in the rankings and became Amandine Petit’s third runner-up.
  • Laura Theodori: In 2019, Laura Theodori was the representative of Alsace in the Miss France 2020 competition. However, the 23-year-old young woman was not of Alsatian origin: from Franche-Comté, she had since lived in Strasbourg for her studies. At the time of her coronation, she was working to become a senior education advisor (CPE) in college. In December 2019, Miss Alsace ranked eighth in the Miss France competition. She had also won the parade award.
  • Lea Reboul: During the Miss Alsace 2018 contest, it was Léa Reboul who won the title. A 22-year-old law student, she said that the Miss France adventure is a personal challenge and a way for her to serve as many people as possible. Despite her will, she did not rank in the 2019 election.
