Tiktok videos fantasizing about violence against women have received billions of views.

An ex-kickboxer known for his misogynistic videos Andrew Tate has been banned from Tiktok, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

During the current summer, Tate rose as if out of nowhere to become one of the most talked about people on the internet. Content related to the social celebrity has already been viewed almost 14 billion times on Tiktok.

One by one, the companies have frozen the accounts belonging to Tate.

Behind the popularity is the obfuscation of algorithms

Andrew Tate’s rocket-like social media success is based on provocative output and systematic manipulation of algorithms.

Tate has said that he recruited students himself from the online learning environment Hustler’s Academy to increase his popularity. He says Followers post up to 300 Tate videos a day to maximize that exposure.

In one of his most popular videos, Tate has urged his followers to hit and strangle women in the bedroom, and in another, he himself has said that he prefers to date women between the ages of 18 and 19 so that he can leave his mark on them before other men.

Although Tate himself is now locked out of the main social platforms, you can come across content related to him on each of them. New user accounts that share Tate content are constantly being created.

However, at least Tiktok has said that it will continue to clean up misogynistic content and user accounts on its platform.
