We have seen blue-yellow great success in Paris.
Sweden can sum up a very fine summer Olympics with a total of eleven medals.
But now the Swedish expert Miro Zalar directs harsh criticism against the Swedish effort.
It was an absolutely fantastic summer Olympics in Paris for the Swedish part. Our blue and yellow representatives managed to collect a total of 11 medals in the various competitions.
Swedish Olympic success
Four Olympic gold, four Olympic silver and three Olympic bronze were the Swedish medal harvest this year and we should be extremely proud of all Swedish efforts. Sweden also managed to become the best Nordic country in Paris, a feat we have not achieved during the Summer Olympics since Sydney 24 years ago.

But despite the great success, not everyone is satisfied. The Swedish expert Miro Zalar is now harshly criticizing the blue-yellow effort when it comes to athletics in particular.
Miro Zalar’s criticism
Sweden only managed to win one medal in athletics and that was it Armand Duplantis fairly given Olympic gold. Otherwise, there were medal disappointments for Sweden in the athletics arena.
– We are ironing together and we are very happy. We are very satisfied and we go out with straight backs, even though you are far from your personal best, says an irritated Zalar to Radiosporten.

Sweden sent its largest athletics team in 40 years to this year’s Olympics, but criticism was still directed in advance that there were many who were not allowed to go and that the team should have been bigger. After the Olympics, Zalar can’t understand it at all.
– What we see in terms of results now, you can ask if we didn’t include too many people, he says in his criticism.
– If we look at those who are going to come here and perform, I have a long list, I don’t know if I should rant about them all, but one that I thought was really boring and that I had high expectations for was someone like Ragnar Carlsson (sledgehammer) . He is high on the world statistics, ranked high and becomes 15th. It’s not much to come up with! Thobias Montler, there are certainly explanations for that. But he has the capacity to keep fighting and miss the final, he hasn’t done that in a hundred years.

The Swedish track and field expert now demands that Sweden start making higher demands on its track and field athletes in order to be able to achieve success in the future.
– Swedish athletics must start talking about which requirements really apply. The results that you have achieved during the season, if you perform it at a championship, then you also get a good placement. You have to be able to set that as a requirement!, he says to the radio channel.
