Dallas star quarterback Miro Heiskanen recorded three assists in last night’s game against Seattle and tied his season high in the process. Heiskanen has now accumulated 10+44=54, which exceeds his previous record by no less than 18 points.
Dallas beat Seattle 5-2 and continues to lead the division. The team has 15 games left in the regular season, so Heiskanen ends up with 66 power points based on a steady pace table.
It would be the fourth-highest score of Finnish teams of all time and the highest score in almost 40 years.
The number one of the Finnish defenders is Reijo Rotsalainen, who scored as many as 73 points (28+45) in the 1984–85 season. The Swede collected more points in five seasons than Heiskasen has now.
They have also been able to go from Heiska to a bigger pot Pekka Rautakallio, Risto Siltanen, Jyrki Lumme and Kimmo Timonen. Among them, Lumme and Timonen will be back to front against Heiska, because the duo’s season record is 55 points.
Heiskanen is currently 11th in the entire NHL defensemen’s points market. San Jose leads the statistics Erik Karlsson 20+64=84, which is as many as 17 points for Winnipeg By Josh Morrissey above. The Swede still has a chance to reach 100 points for the club as the first team since the New York Rangers By Brian Leetch. Jenkkipakki scored 102 (22+80) points in the 1991–92 season. Only five defensemen in NHL history have broken the phantom line.
Compared to previous seasons, Heiskanen has excelled now especially with superiority. The Finn has 24 yv points, while his previous record is 11. The balance shows that he got a lot of yv time in previous seasons by John Klingberg leaving the club.
All the ten kits ahead of Heiskanen in the points statistics have made more power than the Finn on the flat field.
Dallas head coach Peter DeBoer relies on a strong collective. DeBoer emphasized on the eve of the season that he wants all of his tackles to contribute to the offense.
– I wouldn’t want a situation where one defender scores 80 power points and the others 10. Of course, Heiskanen is an exceptional individual, like for example Cale Makar. Such players are fun to watch and coach, commented DeBoer.
Heiskanen has received reasonable background support from five other regular defenders. About them Esa Lindell has scored the second most points (20) and Jani Hakanpää the least, but he too 14.
