Minister Uraloğlu, in his post on social media, said, “The second firing process of our first domestic and national satellite TÜRKSAT 6A, which is operating in geostationary orbit, started this evening at around 20:00 Turkey time. Our pride TÜRKSAT 6A is gradually advancing towards its orbit. Our communication satellite had to make 5 firings with the chemical propulsion system in order to reach the test orbit after the launch. We had carried out the first of these firings planned for orbit correction and reaching the geostationary orbit, which is 35 thousand 786 km away, on July 10. The second firing will take exactly 69 minutes and this part will be completed. We are eagerly waiting for the moment when it will start service in its orbit.”
