Minister refers asylum seekers who have exhausted all legal remedies

In September, Minister Faber announced that he would stop the LVV, the so-called bed-bath-bread scheme, as of January 1, 2025. This scheme provides failed asylum seekers with shelter, a hot shower, food and approximately 50 euros of living allowance per week. In addition, aid organizations work with people on a (voluntary) return. It costs the government 30 million euros annually, according to the NOS.
