Minister Ömer Bolat: “Our aim is to protect the domestic producer”

International fast shipping shopping limit reduced to 30 euros

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, He spoke about the new customs decision: “Our aim is to protect the domestic producer, we expect understanding from the consumer.”

The international fast cargo shopping limit was reduced from 150 euros to 30 euros in recent months. Last week, another very important step was taken. According to the news on NTV Shipping costs will soon be included in the price of products ordered from abroad. If the total price exceeds 30 euros, customs consultancy services will be required to follow up customs procedures. For example, the total cost of a product purchased from abroad for 29 euros via an e-commerce site becomes 31 euros, including the 2 euro shipping fee to be paid for it to arrive in Turkey. Thus, since the price of the product exceeds the 30 euro shopping limit with the new regulation, it is subject to customs consultancy service. The decision will come into force after 30 days. Activities regarding all customs procedures, including customs declaration, for goods that come for personal use with a gross weight of 30 kilograms and a value between 30-1500 euros, and are not of a commercial quantity or nature, must be followed and finalized.
