New news from TÜRKSAT 6A! Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who made a statement on his social media account, said, “Our teams carried out the third firing planned to bring our national communication satellite TÜRKSAT6A closer to its mission orbit this morning. We reduced the 0.6 degree orbital inclination we achieved after the second firing to 0.05 degrees with this firing and increased the perigee altitude from 32,032 km to 35,791 km. Our orbit is now more circular. 58.6 kilograms of chemical propellant were used for this orbital transfer maneuver, which lasted approximately 7 minutes. The fourth of the 5 planned firings will take place 2 days later on July 16.”
