Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M) criticizes the Swedish Transport Administration and calls in the relevant authorities due to the traffic chaos on the E22 last week, reports Ekot in Sveriges Radio.
– It cannot be described as anything other than a failure, he says to the radio.
Together with the authorities, the government must find out what went wrong, according to Bohlin, who thinks that the Swedish Transport Administration has a “very big responsibility”.
– There are many indications that one should have acted more quickly in certain respects. We will analyze this in deeper detail to ensure that this type of event does not happen again. And that we don’t get contexts where authorities fit around responsibility like a hot potato instead of acting.
Around 1,000 vehicles were stuck in the snow and cold on the E22 between Hörby and Kristianstad in Skåne on January 3 and 4.
