Minecraft launches into action and strategy with the release of Minecraft Legends, a very enigmatic new title which could well meet an astonishing success. We tell you all about it.

This new release from Mojang studios is one of the flagship projects of the Xbox juggernaut this year, and intends to bring millions of fans of the famous survival game a new way to discover and interact with its universe.
When is Minecraft Legends coming out?
Minecraft Legends release date has been set for April 18, 2023. A spring arrival that has something to appeal to the extremely large fanbase of the famous cubic game. The game will be released on all available game consoles, be it the new generation of PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, or the old guard represented by the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to experience its story-driven campaign and its intense player versus player mode, where two teams of four players face off in a merciless fight to destroy their respective bases.
What is the gameplay of Minecraft Legends all about?
Minecraft Legends may seem quite confused in its intentions where Minecraft Dungeons takes the form of an action and adventure game, Legends intends to offer a new approach to the universe of the cubic world. In Minecraft Legends, you will be immersed in the past, during the Nether Pigmen invasion. Your role will be to gather the forces of the world above, skeletons and creepers included, in order to resist the onslaught of the armies of the underworld. The storyline, incidentally, presents itself as a long-forgotten legend of the Minecraft universe.
You can enjoy its single-player or co-op campaign for up to four players, and a PvP mode pitting two teams of four against each other in a race to destroy bases. The game will be in 3rd person and incorporates action and strategy elements. It differs from a classic RTS (strategy game) by its close to the player and subjective camera, and by its unique concept of hordes. Indeed, instead of directing hundreds of soldiers leaving barracks or other military buildings, you will use your music to guide hordes of creatures from Minecraft to attack and defend certain villages. However, Minecraft Legends retains a basic unit creation and management system that will appeal to strategy game enthusiasts. In short, this is a one-of-a-kind release.
What platforms can I play Minecraft Legends on?
The good news is that no gamer is going to feel aggrieved by the release of Minecraft Legends. The game, although from Xbox studios, will be released on all available gaming platforms. It will naturally be found on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC (Steam) and in the Xbox Game Pass, but also on the two Playstation consoles, the PS5 and the PS4. Nintendo players will not be left out since the game will also be released on the hybrid console. For now, Mojang and Xbox have not mentioned different release dates between platforms, which unilaterally sets it for April 18.
Minecraft Legends will imitate its elder and join the Xbox Game Pass offer from the day of its release. A good way for the Microsoft brand to ensure new subscribers, and a certain form of exclusivity when we know that the game will also be available on Playstation 5 and Playstation 4.
