Mine from WWII were destroyed by experts

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A sea mine from World War II was destroyed by experts in Croatia on Sunday. The mine was placed over 80 years ago by German forces during the Second World War, and was found during construction work in the port of Rijeka in June. The sea mine was not discovered earlier because it was partially covered by the seabed, and was around 50 meters below the surface. Traffic was stopped and around 500 residents had to be evacuated before the operation, in which both special divers from the police and the military participated, according to AFP. The mine was moved from the harbor and could then be destroyed. See what it looked like when the mine exploded in the clip above
