Mimosa Jallow ends her long sports career

Swimmer Mimosa Jallow, who has represented Finland in prestigious competitions for the last ten years, is ending her competitive career.

Endurance star of Finnish swimming Mimosa Jallow, 28, ends his long sports career. Jyväskyläinen told about it on his Instagram account.

Known as a backstroke specialist, Jallow achieved two long course EC medals in his competitive career, when he was part of the bronze-winning Finnish 4×100 meter medley relay team in London 2016, and in addition, he was third in the 50 meter backstroke in Glasgow 2018.

Jallow, representing Campus Plan, made its value competition debut already in 2012 at the long track European Championships in Hungary. He has represented Finland in both the short and long track European Championships, the short and long track World Championships and the Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo.

Jallow, who is studying to become a nurse, has swum Finland’s record times not only in backstroke but also in freestyle and butterfly.
