(Finance) – The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Ursohas approved the signing of a Development agreement with Ferriere Nord companies and Verona Steelworksrelating to an investment programme of over 63 million euros to be carried out in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto.
The aim of the agreement is the improving the environmental performance of the plants steelworkers of the two companies belonging to the Pittini Groupthe leading Italian producer of hot-rolled long steels for the construction and mechanical industries.
The program, divided into 5 environmental projectswill concern the plants in Osoppo (UD) and Verona (VR). In the Osoppo plant, in particular, the Agreement provides for interventions of energy efficiency And soundproofing interventions of the buildings. In the Verona plant, the investment projects concern systems water treatmenta new plant for the production of oxygen with high energy efficiency and the soundproofing of industrial buildings.
The MIMITjudging the proposed development programme to be particularly strategic relevance for the territorial context, will support the investment with the granting of incentives for almost 20.8 million euros There Region Friuli Venezia Giuliafor its part, will grant 570 thousand euros of concessions for the initiatives to be carried out in Osoppo.
The agreement will be managed by Invitalia which, on behalf of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, will carry out the investigation for possible admission to the benefits.
