Sarah Sjostrom broke through with a bang when, as a 14-year-old, on March 22, 2008, she won EC gold in the 100-meter butterfly in Eindhoven.
For several years now, she has been the world’s best swimmer and one of Sweden’s most successful athletes, with a whole host of World Cup, Olympic and European Championship medals, above all in the butterfly and freestyle disciplines.
Sjöström has also won the Jerring Prize twice and in January 2024 she was named female athlete of the year for the sixth time at the Sports Gala.

So how much money does the 30-year-old swimmer make? A lot, it turns out.
According to documents from Tax Agency as News24 took part in, Sarah Sjöström had a determined earned income of SEK 1,441,600 in 2022, which is the latest information available.
In the same year, Sjöström also had a surplus of capital of SEK 1,253,527.

In Sarah Sjöström’s own company Sarah Sjöström Promotion ABwhich will, among other things, carry out advertising and marketing activities as well as product development of sports and leisure items, it also reported SEK 5.6 million at a financial close in December 2022.

The profit landed at nearly 2.8 million kroner, while the assets in the company were estimated to amount to a whopping 30 million kroner.
