Millions rain over Lykos CEO Rickard Lyko – that’s how much he earns

It was in 2003 that Lyko.se first saw the light of day, then under the direction of Stephen and Draw Lyko who used the site to showcase products they used at their hairdressing salon Hår & Skägg in the town of Dala-Järna.

Eventually, however, the couple started receiving long-distance inquiries from people who wanted to buy the products, and in 2005 the website became an e-commerce platform.

Three years later, Hår & Skägg HB is transformed into Lyko Hair AB and son Richard Lyko steps in as CEO of the company.

Rickard Lyko is chairman of Lyko Holding ABwhich is the parent company of a group that includes Lyko Group AB and later Lyko Sverige AB, Danish Lyko Denmark Aps, Norwegian Lyko As and Finnish Lyko Oy among others.

His sister Erika Lyko and father Stefan Lyko are members of the board of the company, which in 2022 had a turnover of SEK 2.5 billion. In the same year, it had a turnover of SEK 38 million and had assets that were estimated to amount to SEK 1.3 billion.

And the fact that business is running smoothly is also noticeable in Rickard Lyko’s private finances. In 2022, he had a determined earned income of SEK 2,304,979, according to documents from Tax Agency as News24 took part.

Spread over the twelve months of the year, it gave him an average monthly income of just over SEK 192,000.

In addition to this annual salary, Lyko had a surplus of capital of a staggering SEK 16,540,253.
