Millions celebrate a Twitch streamer who poses as a 10-year-old on TikTok – “Got to bed soon”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Streamer Slater Kodish has been playing Call of Duty Warzone on Twitch as “slater” since 2020. So far, there has been no great success. But that could change now, because clips in which Slater pretends to be a 10-year-old and says absurd things are currently reaching millions of viewers on TikTok.

What is this guy? slater has been streaming on Twitch since 2018, but he’s only been really active since June 2020. He streams between 120 and almost 200 hours a month, but so far has only reached viewers in the low three-digit range.

In parallel to his almost daily streams, slater posted highlight videos on TikTok. In addition to his playful skills, the videos also show how the streamer trolls his fellow players. Slater often disguised his voice to sound like a little boy.

In 2022, slater began using a voice changer to make his voice even more convincing. The streamer has had resounding success on TikTok: millions of people celebrate his videos.

How does slater succeed now? On TikTok, slater posts clips of himself trolling random fellow players. For this, the streamer uses a voice changer to sound like a little boy and claims to be 10 1/2 years old.

In his role as a young boy, slater then asks older players about their experiences with breasts or calls out to his supposed mother to bring him pizza rolls.

With his success on TikTok, his Twitch channel also grew

How is that received? On TikTok, slater’s funny clips delight millions of viewers. His most successful video has over 32 million views (via TikTok), others are in the one to two-digit million range.

His Twitch channel also benefits from his success: in November 2022 alone he got 46,730 new followers, and he now has a total of over 108,000 followers. On average, his streams are now viewed by just over 1,050 people (via sullygnome).

In November, slater was even the 25th most watched Warzone streamer (via Twitter).

What’s next? slater is apparently determined to turn the viral success into a more long-term concept. He started uploading videos to YouTube in December and claims to have reached 100,000 subscribers in 7 days (via Twitter).

There are currently some shorts on his channel with several million views, as well as two longer videos, each with over 100,000 views. Maybe slater will actually be able to join the esports organization FaZe Clan soon – he’s been joking about this for a long time (via Twitter).

Voice changer software is opening up a whole new world of possibilities for gamers and content creators right now. Some women report impersonating men in voice chat. Conversely, 3 male players made their voices sound female for an experiment:
