In March 2020, the police raided the lab on Spoorlaan. The resident of the building had been arrested shortly before on the highway with false license plates. 1.5 million ecstasy pills with a street value of 4.5 to 6 million euros were found in the partly underground lab. There was at least 2,000 kilos of raw material to make many more pills. “I have never seen such a large drug lab in my career,” a police inspector said at the time.
