League leader HJK had to settle for a draw, but so did second-placed KuPS. Åland United, JyPK and PK-35 Vantaa won their matches.

The top teams of the national league, Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi and Kuopio Palloseura, had to settle for a point on Sunday.
Espoo’s Honka forced league leader HJK to a 2–2 draw. The people of Helsinki were in the lead by two goals when Sara Sievistö and Elli-Noora Kainulainen hit
Honga’s narrowing was completed Elli Seiroand the header of the equalizing goal in extra time of the match Milla Punsar. At the beginning of July, Punsar, who returned to Finland and Honga, played for the first time on the league pitches after arriving in his home country.
In addition to getting a point, Honka broke HJK’s ten-game winning streak. The draw was the first for the team from Helsinki this league season.
Series champion KuPS again shared the points with Helsinki Palloseura with a 1–1 result. HPS attacker Ria Karjalainen scored the opening goal, and completed the equalizer for the Kuopio team Saga Kaikkonen.
HJK continues to lead the league with 31 points and a five-point difference to KuPS. HPS is in third place with 20 series points and Honka is in 6th place with 14 points.
Åland United, Jyväskylä Pallokerho and PK-35 Vantaa won in the other games of the full round of matches. Series 4 Åland beat 5th-placed Ilves from Tampere 1-0 on an away trip Aada Törrönen on the finish line.
Series tie PK-35 Vantaa was visited by PK-35 Helsingin, which was ranked eighth. Vantaa won the match 2–1. Vantaa’s goal scorers were Hilla Romppanen and Liina Tervo. Helsinki was hit Steffi Hassinen.
JyPK, who started the round as the second last, grabbed the full point pot from the series jumbo Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa with a 2–1 result. JyPK’s goals did Alma Forstén and Yelena Todoshchenko. PKKU’s hit hit Alexandra Lampinen.
With the win, JyPK rose to eighth place in the series, passing PK-35 Helsingin, which is now in ninth place. PKKU continues as a series jumbo, i.e. tenth.

Correction 7/7/2024 at 11:01 p.m.: The name of the club in seventh place in the league is PK-35 Vantaa. Not Vantaa Pallokerho-35, as was claimed earlier in the story.
