Military support for Ukraine: Westerners on the offensive

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian army, Russia has launched more than 70 rocket attacks in the past 24 hours. The front has remained almost static for the past two months, but the frozen ground now makes it possible to launch new offensives.

Volodymyr Zelensky urges the allies to speed up their arms deliveries to his country, and the Ukrainian president insists on one point: the need to provide him with tanks. Britain confirmed on Monday (January 16, 2023) that it would send 14 Challenger 2s and hundreds of armored vehicles. Chancellor Olaf Sholtz is reluctant to give the green light to sending German-made Leopard 2 tanks. The allies will meet on Friday (January 20, 2023) in Ramstein, Germany, to discuss it. Tonight, in Décryptage, we talk about military strategy and armament.
