Three months have passed since the operation.
How is Zlatan Ibrahimovic actually feeling today?
Now Milan gives a first notice.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not seen much on the pitch during the spring. It was mostly short appearances for the star Swede, who afterwards admitted that he had barely been able to do a training session the whole season.
First notice
However, the Swede was determined to help Milan to their first league title in ten years as best he could. And that’s exactly what he did. Milan won the league title, and shortly afterwards Ibrahimovic went on the operating table.
His knee required extensive surgery, and the road back will be long. Three months have passed since the operation, and there has been scant information about how the injury actually is. The original thought was that Ibrahimovic would be back in January, and now Milan are giving a first update on his rehabilitation.
Then he’s back
According to the Milan site SempreMilan, Ibrahimovic should have had an initial check-up with his doctor in Lyon, France, and then received positive reports. The operation is said to have been a success, and Ibrahimovic’s recovery is going exactly according to plan, and now the work continues to be ready for the game in time for the halfway point in the coming season.
Ibrahimovic has had problems with his knee since his time at Manchester United, and given that he was barely able to play games all year, many thought his career would be over. But Ibrahimovic wants to give it one last(?) season, where his Milan is the defending champion – and also gets the chance in the Champions League.
