Milan players are fined for their title celebrations

Milan won Italian Serie A two points ahead of local rival Inter this spring.

The French defender Theo Hernandez, his compatriot goalkeeper Mike Maignan and the Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali are all ordered to pay a fine of 4,000 euros, which is equivalent to approximately 40,000 Swedish kronor.

Milan’s Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic was fined 5,000 euros, or about 50,000 kronor. The club must also pay a fine of 12,000 euros.

Hernandez and Krunic were fined for leading insulting rhymes and displaying an offensive banner against Inter. Maignan was punished only for showing the banner.

Tonali was also fined for insulting the local rival, in his case by a shirt with an offensive message.
