Finland’s star players Alexander Barkov and Mikko Rantanen met in the NHL, when the Florida Panthers and the Colorado Avalance measured each other. In the end, Florida defeated the reigning champion 5–4.
Barkov scored the opening goal of the match and his tenth goal of the season by Anton Lundell from preliminary work in the first installment. Brandon Montour and Sam Bennett already increased Florida’s lead to 3–0 in the opening set. After two sets, the readings were 4–1 for Florida.
However, Colorado rallied in the third period to tie things up in about six minutes. Mikko Rantanen reduced to 2–4 in the third set and served by Nathan MacKinnon 3–4 goals. JT Compher hit the game-tying hit.

Patrik Laine ended his five-game scoreless streak when he went 0+2 against Tampa Bay. However, Laine’s passes were a small consolation for Columbus, who lost the match 3–6.
Tampa’s Nikita Kutserov was the power man of the match, scoring twice and collecting two assists.
Columbus continues in the jumbo place of the Eastern Conference, Tampa is seventh.
Crosby back to chest
The Pittsburgh Penguins made a huge comeback against the Vancouver Canucks. Conor Garland, Brock Boeser and Quinn Hughes took Vancouver to a 3–0 lead in the first period. Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby and Jason Tucker however, brought Pittsburgh to the level in the opening set. Malkin and Richard Rakell continued Pittsburgh’s scoring in the second period, after which the score was 5-3 for the Penguins.
