Mikko Korhonen kicked off golf’s European Tour competition in spectacular fashion on Thursday in Amsterdam. Korhonen hit two birdies at the start and sank four handsome hole-in-ones.
– Holari is done, Korhonen celebrated in his announcement.
– Your iron was a club and the distance was 145 meters. The ball came down 20 centimeters before the hole and in. A pretty good bonus for a glory round.
Korhonen shared the top spot of the competition with Italy’s Matteo Manassero with a score of seven under par, while the round was still unfinished for a few players. However, the top spot was hardly threatened anymore.
– I hit the tee well all day, and the putt sank quite well. It was nice to pull a good round, if you could say after a really long time.
Two and a half million dollars in prize money will be distributed in the competition.
