Mikhail Mizintsev, Russian Army at Wagner

Mikhail Mizintsev Russian Army at Wagner

From the Russian army to Wagner… We are not talking here about a former soldier coming out of the ranks or an officer in retraining but – this is a first at this level – about the former Russian Deputy Minister of Defense . Mikhail Mizintsev was in charge of logistics until April 30. He is under British government sanctions for his role in the siege of Mariupol.

From our correspondent in Moscow

The rumor had been circulating for a few days among military correspondents: Mikhail Mizintsev had no intention of hanging up his uniform. Just four days later after leaving the army, here he is 60 years after sunset in what is billed as a Wagner boot camp.

Extract from a 4-minute video of the exchange of the brand new private company deputy commander with his masked subordinates:

Mikhail Mizintsev: Urban tactics have their own peculiarities. From your point of view, what is the most effective today to defeat the enemy, whether in a wooded area or in an urban environment?»

The soldier : ” Received. Look, open, wooded terrain is very different from urban terrain. In urban combat, we necessarily work at close range. As a result, we are constantly watching the enemy and never lowering our weapons. »

A Russian military correspondent sees it as a reinforcement of the management of the “ orchestra”, the nickname of Wagner; others will note that Yevgeny Prigozhin, who has complained a lot about the low number of ammunition given by the army, therefore recovers in its ranks the former head of defense logistics, dismissed from his post in a few dry official words.
