In addition to Jantunen, the top five places were given to the Bahamas Deandre Aytonof Spain Santi Aldama and Juancho Hernangomez and Lebanon Omari Spellman.
According to the International Basketball Federation Jantunen emerged as the leader of the Finnish team in the Olympic qualifying tournament.
During the Valencia tournament, Jantunen recorded 17.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game for Susijengi. In the tournament, Jantunen sank 62.1 percent of two-point shots, 61.5 percent of three-point shots, and 90 percent of one-point shots.
The Spanish NBA center was awarded as the tournament’s most valuable player Santi Aldamawho posted nearly identical stats to Jantuse: 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.
