Mika Zibanejad’s Rangers ready for the quarterfinals of the Stanley Cup playoffs

There was no major pressure for Mika Zibanejad and his teammates to advance in the playoffs for the Stanley Cup. There were four straight victories against Washington in the round of 16 in the NHL.

The New York Rangers are ready for the quarterfinals of the NHL playoffs and Swedish star Mika Zibanejad, left, has made a strong contribution to that.

– What we did in 82 games in the regular season, we continue to do. We have built towards being able to do this and I still think we can do it even better, said Zibanejad after the match, to AP.

With the victory, the New York Rangers are thus the first team ready for the quarterfinals in the playoffs for the Stanley Cup in the NHL after 4–2 in game four against the team from the American capital.

A strong contributor to Rangers’ stable progress is one of the team’s biggest stars, Swedish Zibanejad. In Sunday’s game, he accounted for two assists and a play that earned him being listed as one of the game’s top three players on the league’s website.

In the quarterfinals, the winner of the round of 16 between Carolina and the New York Islanders awaits. At the moment, it looks like it will be Carolina, which leads the series 3-1.

In the fourth game between Edmonton and Los Angeles, Edmonton won 1–0. It is now 3-1 to Edmonton in games.
