A few days after the shipwreck in the English Channel that left at least 12 victims in France, the Italian coastguard rescued 7 survivors among the 28 people on board a boat that capsized off the coast of Lampedusa. The rescued migrants said they had left Libya on September 1 and had to deal with bad weather conditions. The search is still ongoing. There are reportedly three minors missing.
