A Middlesex County man is charged with second-degree murder in the death of an individual whose body was found in a home north of Strathroy.

Officers responded at about 9 pm Thursday to an address in North Middlesex, a municipality that includes the community of Parkhill, and found a deceased person, Middlesex OPP said Friday,

Emanuel Medeiros, 59, is charged with second-degree murder. He was scheduled to appear Friday in a London court, police said.
Police said they are not releasing the identity of the person who died at this time. Information about the cause of death and place where the body was found was not released.
OPP vehicles were parked Friday at a home at 4022 Wardell Dr., about 10 kilometers north of Strathroy.
An officer at the scene declined to comment on the investigation.
An officer was taking photos with a camera at the end of a long driveway leading to a home, and yellow police tape had been tied to railings on steps at the front entrance.
A neighbor who lived next door said police were at the home on Thursday night but declined further comment.
OPP said the office of the chief coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting in the investigation.
