(Finance) – Quick visit of the president Use Joe Biden in the Middle East which will remain in Israel for about 5 hours tomorrow. This was reported by Israeli TV channel 12. Also confirmed – according to the same source – is his subsequent visit to Amman where he will participate in a four-person Summit in which, as announced by the Jordanian Royal Palace, they will participate, in addition tothe US president and King Abdullah II of JordanThe Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Palestinian Authority President Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas).

Again according to the royal palace, the summit “will discuss the dangerous developments in Gaza and their repercussions on the region”. The four leaders will also try to work to “find a political horizon that will relaunch the Israeli-Palestinian peace process”, which has been blocked for years.

Efforts to create a Palestinian state that coexists alongside Israel are at a standstill. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has staunchly opposed it, and the Biden administration has supported calls for a two-state solution, but has
little done at a diplomatic level to advance this objective.

Before the summit, Abdullah II will meet the three leaders separately to discuss “how to guarantee the entry of humanitarian aid and basic necessities into the Gaza Strip“. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been touring the region for almost a week. On the agenda is a new meeting in Amman with the Jordanian king and Abu Mazen before reaching Biden in Israel.
