The mid-season update for Diablo 4 is coming next week and will bring numerous changes to the five classes in the game. MeinMMO summarizes the highlights from the patch notes for patch 1.4.3.
The highlights from the patch:
When will patch 1.4.3 go live? Patch 1.4.3 goes live on June 17th, which is a Monday. As the developers recently announced in a post on the Diablo 4 forum, the upcoming patch is the mid-season update. In the process, they also announced that Season 5 will also get a PTR.
The full patch notes can be found on the second page of the article. We will update them as soon as they are available in German.
Lots of buffs for all classes, no nerfs
What does the patch change about the classes? Patch 1.4.3 brings numerous changes and balance adjustments for the classes for the mid-season. The goal of the changes is to buff classes and builds that are not performing as well as others.
Currently, the Necromancer’s shadow minion build is particularly strong. However, the upcoming update will buff precisely those aspects of the Book of the Dead that you get when you sacrifice your minions and play without them.
The hunter gets a few buffs for various skills, such as “Blade Storm” and “Screwblades”. Currently, the builds that use the skills are in the lower tiers of the tier list for the endgame in Season 4. In addition, a bug is being fixed that prevented the “Rapid Fire” skill with the unique “Kiss of the Rogue” from hitting close targets properly.
The Druid’s spirit blessings will be buffed, as will many of his other skills. Barbarians will also receive buffs, such as the damage of the “Whirlwind” skill being increased by 15%. The damage of the “Dust Devil” aspect will be increased by 100%.
The wizards not only receive buffs for the damage they deal, but also better damage reduction and barriers – for example through the “Ice Armor” skill.
Are there any nerfs? Apparently not. Diablo expert wudijo noted in his livestream on Twitch on June 14: “There are actually a lot of buffs in this patch, so a lot of things will be better in general, there are no nerfs and no bug fixes that would negatively affect builds.”
Adjustment to the pit so that everyone can get their mats
What else will be adjusted? Patch 1.4.3 also slightly changes the difficulty level of the pit. Players should be able to fully participate in the crafting system. According to Blizzard, the changes should enable most builds to master higher levels in the pit in order to unlock the final level of mats for masterworking – at least pit level 61.
In addition, bug fixes are being made: The “Holy Bolts” elixir now deals a percentage of weapon damage rather than a percentage of enemy health. This caused the damage to scale up unintentionally when it was triggered by the Necromancer minions, for example.
With the last patch, new companions surprisingly moved into Diablo 4, which not only look cute, but also collect mats and gold for you. The animal companions are a feature that fans have been wanting for a long time. However, there was a bug that the pets ruined some builds – and strengthened others. This error will also be fixed with patch 1.4.3.
