Microsoft offers interested people the opportunity to join a new program called Family Insiders in order to test new features as a family in preview and to collect user opinions for its future products.
For several years now, Microsoft has been offering the Windows Insider program to its users, in order to allow them to preview new features to come and to provide feedback to developers, to help them improve the operating system. Today, the publisher extends this concept with Family Insiders, a variant that allows those who want to try new functions before they are launched in family-oriented products. As Microsoft explains on his site“Microsoft teams take Insiders behind the scenes at monthly virtual community calls, where product managers, designers, engineers and researchers showcase new family experiences. ” Participants will receive exclusive information with surveys, polls and the possibility of transmitting remarks to the development teams. A process which allows to spend time with family, to exchange, to participate in the design of the products of all days and get a glimpse of what’s going on behind the scenes.
Recently, Family Insiders registrants were able to test out Microsoft Defender for Individuals – a new mainstream antivirus – before its public release, and provide feedback on the new Windows Family Widget., a small window that allows you to scrutinize family activity on a PC – who used the computer, how long, etc. They also spoke with the teams responsible for family safety, OneDrive, edge browser or the Education tool, which supports schools. In short, users participate in the creation of what they really need! The program is already open: just register on a dedicated pagewith a Microsoft account.
