Microsoft is laying off some of its XBox and Bethesda employees in the gaming segment within the framework of its 5% downsizing plan.

While the economic crisis continues around the world, companies are parting ways with some of their employees. After Twitter and Amazon, now Microsoft has decided to downsize. The company, which has 220,000 employees, will downsize by 5%. This means that approximately 11,000 people are unemployed.

In the statement made, Microsoft’s statement that the layoffs will occur in the entire company, including XBox and Bethesda, makes us understand that 343 Industries and The Coalition, the developers of Halo and Gears of War productions, will also be affected. They even started layoffs. 343 Industries’ staff of 350 has already parted ways with 60 employees.

The Coalition has also had its share. It’s unclear if this was part of the layoffs, but Halo Infinite co-director Joe Staten has left the developer and returned to Xbox Publishing.
