Windows 11 may suggest actions when you copy a phone number, date, or time. This function should arrive in the next major update 22H2 of the operating system.
Microsoft has just released a new build of Windows 11 aimed at Insider Program testers. This build arrives in the Beta channel, which means that the new functions it brings are planned for the 22H2 version of the operating system. The most interesting function of this new version is called Suggested Actions (suggested actions). Its principle is simple: when you copy certain elements, the system suggests certain actions.
First example: copying a telephone number. The system will then suggest that you call the number, as shown in the screenshot below.
It gives you the choice between several applications that have a call function. In the screenshot above, it’s Teams and the Edge browser.
Second example: copying a date. The system then proposes to create an event.

This new function is currently reserved for Insiders testers residing in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Also, some testers will have the choice between two different builds: one with new features present (22622.290) and one with features disabled (22621.290). The goal for Microsoft is to assess the impact of new features in terms of stability.
The editor also offers a new function for paying users of OneDrive. Those who have subscribed for 100 GB of online storage can manage it directly by going to Windows 11 settings and looking at the accounts section. You then have information on the type of subscription, on the means of payment and on the available storage space. The system also displays an alert if you are approaching the 100 GB limit. Note that Microsoft has been offering a similar function since March for Microsoft 365 users.
Windows 11 version 22H2 is expected to be released around October.
