A careful user noticed a new game bar for gamers, available through the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft continues to find new ways for you to use Microsoft Teams. As a recent development, Windows 11 has the “Microsoft Teams Play Together” widget that you can download. This is a new way to bring your friends together through Teams, instead of a rival service like Discord, while playing games on your Windows PC.
The new tool is easy to use
Microsoft Store Accessible via MSPoweruser, this Xbox Game Bar widget will be partially functional if you are using the consumer version Microsoft Teams (chat app) already pre-installed on Windows 11. You can sign in with your personal Microsoft Account and share your game screen and video or voice chat while playing games through Microsoft Teams. You can do this by calling the Xbox Game Bar screen with the Windows Key and the G key.
Because it functions as a widget, you can see your friends’ video streams superimposed over your game. You can also create and share a link for more of your friends to join. Up to 20 people can join the call and you can continue the call later via chat.

It was seen that the Microsoft Teams Play Together widget received only one review on the Microsoft Store. The review says it’s pretty easy to set up and start up. In addition, this tool also works on Windows 10. Because the system requirements are listed as Windows 10 version 17763.0 or higher.
No matter how great and useful this tool is, it looks like it will be aggressively criticized by those who dislike the service. Microsoft has already pinned the Teams chat app to the Windows 11 taskbar and although this widget is not installed by default, there will be another Teams integration in Windows.
Gaming with Microsoft Teams feels weird for now. The “Microsoft Teams Play Together” widget, available in Windows 11, could be a new way to communicate with your friends. However, its integration into the gaming experience is interpreted as an absurd situation for some users.
