Today Microsoft announced a new pro controller, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core (that’s what it’s called!). The super chic gamepad in white will be released on September 21, 2022 and can be pre-ordered on the Microsoft homepage.
A few of you may remember the first Xbox Elite controller from 2015. This very popular controller received a successor with the Xbox Elite 2, which received additional functions and which you could even further customize to your own needs.
So the model announced today extends the Xbox Elite series.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core is priced at €129.99, a whopping €50 cheaper than its predecessor – the current Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in Black. The gamepad is therefore particularly suitable for gamers who want to buy a cheap but high-quality Xbox Elite 2 controller.
The cheaper price is mainly explained by the fact that, in comparison to the Xboc Elite 2 core controller, no exchangeable components are included. You have to buy this yourself with the Complete Component Pack for just under €59.99.
