AI should help you play on the PC and the Xbox in the future

What does Microsoft say? Microsoft’s first message to do this sounds a little more daring. So far, the official announcement states:

Copilot for Gaming is based on three principles: performance, adaptability and personalization. It was developed to support players in different ways, from personalized game recommendations and seamless game facility to helpful coaching and maintaining connections with friends.

Where should you be able to use the AI? In fact, there are already a few scenarios that Microsoft shows how to use “Copilot for Gaming” in the future:

  • In Minecraft you can ask the AI what you can do with resources that you have just broken down.
  • In Age of Empires IV you can have a strategy suggested how you can defeat your opponent.
  • And in Overwatch 2 you can have your last defeat analyzed why you lost and which character you should choose next. This was shown in the official Xbox Podcast (via YouTube.com).
  • In addition, one advertises that the AI should take different tasks: tell you when your friends are online or they recommend games. Or she imitates a conversation partner by chatting with you or insulting you so that you no longer need to speak to real people. This is reminiscent of a patent for the PS4 and PS5, where AI should also ensure that players no longer have to be alone on the PS5.

When does “Copilot for Gaming” appear? There is no release date yet. In any case, the AI should first be available on mobile devices such as cell phones via Xbox insider. Then the chat bot should then also be available for PC and consoles. The English-speaking magazine PCGamer teases: if the AI bubble should not have burst until then.

The console war between Xbox and PlayStation is probably as old as the consoles themselves. Sony and Microsoft have been fighting a relentless struggle for years. Now, however, the boss of Xbox has put an end to the console war: it is official: the console war is over: Phil Spencer says in view of the PS5 that he no longer wants to get all the players for Xbox
