Microsoft Edge could integrate a button to subscribe to YouTube

Microsoft will no doubt soon offer you to subscribe to YouTube channels and follow the news published there directly in its Edge browser.
A user of Reddit discovered in the latest version of Edge Canary a new button, integrated into the address bar, to “follow” content creators on YouTube.

With this new feature that brings a bit of YouTube into the browser, you can get a quick preview of the latest videos posted by the channels you follow directly in Edge’s “Collections”, a Microsoft browser feature that allows save and annotate online content.

This integration of YouTube in Edge is an integral part of the “Subscribe” function tested by the Redmond firm for several weeks now, like Google with Chrome. It is based on the RSS standard, a protocol widely used in the early 2000s, which fell into disuse in the early 2010s.

For the time being, Microsoft has rolled out this feature to a limited number of users of the Canary version of Edge.
