Microids will adapt Bernard Werbers novels into video games

If Microids has shown us its great attachment to comics and certain authors like Benoît Sokal, whose last game Syberia The World Before was released a few days ago, the French publisher will now draw its inspiration from its cousin literature. An agreement to adapt several novels by the writer Bernard Werber into video games has just been publicly announced, specifying at the same time that a game is already in pre-production. The project still remains very mysterious, since the name has not been revealed, but know that this is not the first time that Microids has worked with Bernard Werber, since his book, Les Fourmis, had already been entitled to its adaptation in 2000. Except that this time, Microids seems to have other ambitions and it is moreover a partner studio which is currently at work, which earned us an intervention from Microids in the person of Elliot Grassiano, COO and CEO of Microids:

During these many years after the adaptation of Les Fourmis, we kept in touch with Bernard and it is a real pleasure to find him professionally today. This new collaboration allows us to support the editorial line of Microids, which wishes to highlight talented creators and authors. We are committed to offering an experience faithful to Bernard’s work. The adventure has only just begun and we can’t wait to reveal more.

Bernard Werber also took the opportunity to be enthusiastic about the project and explain that “the timing seems to be right, thanks to the evolution of technologies, to offer a new unique video game experience “to gamers” and to my readers”. It remains to be seen which book was chosen, between Les Thanatonautes, Pandora’s Box, The Prophecy of the Bees or downright a remake of the Ants. Why not ?
