It was a long time ago as the actor Mikael Persbrandt was a “bad boy”. Since 2015, Persbrandt has been sober and focuses on family and career. Micke lives on a large farm outside Stockholm with his partner True Lundell and the children Igor, Lo and Fox. From a previous relationship, he also has the daughter Olga.
In addition to family life, Persbrandt puts the powder on his career, and recently Hammarskjöld premiered in which he played the Secretary General of the United Nations Dag Hammarskjold in the film which takes place during the early 1960s.

Persbrandt also has time for his great hobby: exclusive cars and värstinghoes. Just like celebrities who Per Gessle and Zlatan Ibrahimovic Persbrandt has an impressive garage. He has, among other things, a Porsche 911 Carrera GT3 and a Mercedes-Benz S 500 in his possession, but also several motorcycles such as the Honda SC 03 and the Suzuki GSX1300RA.

– I bought an old American for which I won a prize at a car exhibition in Huddinge. A limited edition Oldsmobile 442 W30 from 1970, the year before emissions requirements came to California. After that, the cars got weaker and weaker, Micke Persbrandt said in an interview with the magazine King last year.

When Mikael Persbrandt now visits Bobo Ericzen’s YouTube program Biltokig, he tells more about how it came about that the choice fell on the particular car.
– I first bought a Corvette 63 but it was not in the condition I expected. This one is newly built in the States. It has all the patches. It is in better condition than when it came from the factory. We are running the engine in. It’s a small seven and a half liter V8, says Micke Persbrandt in the program.
He explains that the designation W-30 is what makes the car so special.
– It started as a small 60th birthday present. Simply an enthusiast car. I haven’t been much for Americans. Hell, I’ve simply become a rager, I don’t know what’s going on, says Persbrandt.

The car is fully renovated to better than new condition, according to the actor himself. Now he is getting ready to ride the Tulpen Rally in May. Over 100 miles from Bilbao in Spain to Paris.
– It’s a fine car rally. It’s mostly European old fine cars like Maserati, Ferrari and old Porsches and Aston Martins, says Persbrandt who seems to be thinking about how his “fat Yankee” should fit in.

According to the newspaper Motor Trend so a total of only 3,100 W-30 cars were produced in 1970, and Persbrandt has now managed to get his hands on one of them.
