Mick Schumacher out of the Saudi Arabian GP

Schumacher will not start the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia on Sunday after his violent exit from the track during qualifying on Saturday, announced his Haas team. ” Schumacher was taken to the medical center after a serious accident at turn 12 during the second part of qualifying (Q2). After an initial examination revealed no injuries, Schumacher was transferred to King Fahad Military Hospital in Jeddah for precautionary checks. The team therefore made the decision to only participate in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with the only entry of Kevin Magnussen. “Schumacher’s teammate, says a press release. The 23-year-old German driver should in principle have started in 14th position on the starting grid for the Grand Prix which is due to start at 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. French time). His withdrawal advances Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) by one place at the start, who missed his qualifications. Mick Schumacher is the son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, himself the victim of a serious skiing accident in 2013 and who has not been seen in public since.
