The 28th St. Clair River Classic power boat race is on this weekend on the Michigan side of the river across from Courtright and Mooretown.
The race event is hosted by the Blue Water Offshore Racing Association of St. Clair, Mich., and racing is scheduled to begin at noon Sunday and run through the afternoon.
The US Coast Guard is restricting recreational vessel traffic on the river from 10 am to 7 pm Sunday on a section of the river between its western shoreline and the international boundary line.
Temporary race bouys will be in place, according to the Coast Guard.
Spectators have traditionally lined the shore on the Canadian side of the river to watch the event.
The course on the river will be open Saturday 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, for test runs by race competitors.
