Frölunda won the Swedish Women’s Hockey League and ended the Luleå gold tube.
Frölunda HC was able to stop Luleå HF’s victory when it won the Swedish hockey SDHL championship on Sunday. Frölunda won Luleå’s 3-2 record audiences – 8,488 spectators and took the match with a 3-0 lead in the first championship of the club. Luleå HF had won as many as six previous championships.
Michelle Karvinen was one of the heroes of his team in the last match as he fed two Frölunda hits. Karvinen, one of the standard players in the female lions, told SVT that the team had taken all the joy out of the victory party. Already when the buzzer was playing in the Scandinavium Hall, he felt like he was living in his dream.
– Yesterday was a fantastic evening. Being able to celebrate with the whole Gothenburg was magical. Could not have gone better, Karvinen said For SVT.
Karvinen has experience with the Gold Festival as he once achieved three gold on the Luleå team. Frölunda’s Instagram account has numerous videos of how the team celebrated the championship and eventually got a gold helmet on. In the locker room, the confetes flew, sparkling drinks were sprayed and Queen’s We Are The Champions Song Raised. The team then headed to the center of Gothenburg.
– We were on Avenyn (Gothenburg’s main street) all night, Karvinen said.
Many were home, SVT was udel.
– At about three o’clock. Not crazy, but we started early, Karvinen said and admitted that it was a bit heavier on Monday.

According to Karvinen, the unity of the team was a guarantee of the championship. Frölunda has great individuals, but especially in the final matches the team played as a team. The championship team will be celebrated on Friday in the first semi -final of Frölunda’s men.
